Clickbank cherry popped - Now what?

Hey guys, as I posted in another thread I've finally found a product that's selling for me.

I'm direct linking to hoplink from Adwords (no landing page at all) and it's working, but I know it will probably be short lived unless I keep learning.

    I have a couple questions -

    1. Is $150 in sales in 7 days a good indication that this is a product to stick with, or should I still wait?
    2. Would a landing page really help me sell more? It seems like a landing page is nothing more than a pre-sales page. Am I wrong?

*Also, should I chill and fine tune this one product that's working for me, or start testing others?

Any specific advice on a next step for me would be appreciated!

It depends on the amount of refunds you get I remember making serious sales last christmas on one product only for me to
lose almost half of the sales in the first week of the new year.
one thing if you know the product is good then just try
and build your list if it is a make money product prepare
    for some refunds
But all in all just keep up the good work

    you should always be testing.

split test direct linking and with a landing page.
    also try cloaking your link.

I think the main advantage of a landing page is that you can build a list.
remember to keep your landing page distraction free and put your call to action above the fold.

This is just what I do, others may have their own methods that work.

    1. It depends on how many clicks it took to get that $150 in sales and how much competition there is in the niche.

    2. Yes. A landing page can help a LOT for many reasons. First of all you can get a much higher conversion rate. Secondly Google may give you a better quality score and you may get to bid lower. Thirdly Google may eventually decide that your direct to hoplink thing isn't OK, they change their mind like that all the time. Fourthly, with your own landing page you can start cookin' with SEO as well as PPC. Fifthly you can create a mailing list. I don't do this myself but a lot of people (see above) do very well with mailing lists.

There are folks who prey on affiliates that send traffic directly to affiliate vendor, and then build a competitive site to drain your traffic,,,,,there is a new round of software that specifically spy on adwords to find such traffic,,,,so good luck...it may be shortlived ...always always test
