Today I learnt my clickbank check was stolen, fraudulently endorsed and cashed.. I live in Mexico, postal service here is horrendous, so I'm changing my address to a forwarding service in the US. CB sent me some forms to open a fraud case with their bank.. lets see if that does any good to recover my first comission I was waiting for.. Any one had a similar experience?
Their bank has to determine there was fraud there so they can refund the money. Clickbank told me I have to open the case with their bank, their bank said clickbank has to open the case.. Im still pending with that.
Sorry to hear that. I'm a newbie and still don't have reach the minimum for my first cheque. I hope it won't happen to me. Did people have this same problem in other countries ?
Well the thing is I am in Mexico, so there is no Wells Fargo here. Clickbank said I have to open the fraud case, I contacted the bank in the US and they said the account owner (Clickbank) has to contact their local bank to open the case. .. so I am confused here.
I think you need to focus on prevention than to recover. The effort & time you put it might just make you a few more affiliate sales if you do marketing. just my2cent.
This happened to me some years ago, check stolen in the mail and cashed our in Brazil who knowns how since Im not from Brazil. Wells fargo was very helpful with this, you need to fill the form and send it by mail to wells, they will open a case and email you often, you may ask them how it goes and they will reply promptly, I finally get the bank to refund clickbank so clickbank paid me in full (no extra fees) however it will take not less that 6 months to recover your money. Finally, I opened a mail forwarding p.o.box in miami via usabox.com , I must say that it was the best thing I did after my mail problems, they send your mail via fedex or dhl 100% secure. Hope it helps
Did you managed to get the checks back? Looks like some of my checks have been stolen and cashed by someone else too. I wonder how many people have this problem? Clickbank sent me some forms to fill (The forms ask to include the original checks or blueprints, account number, details of the fraud, etc). I didnt recieved the checks in the first place..how am I suppose to have a copy of the checks!? or know ClickBanks's Bank Account number?! ..and whenenever I ask questions to clickbank on how to fill the form they just dont replay....its nice of ClickBank's Accounting Department! To make things more interesting, I called Clickbank's Bank (Wells Fargo) and they told me that ClickBank must fill the form because they are their clients and they know the details how to fill such forms....
