I'm hoping for one, but I've already committed myself to a few more months of this, so I guess it really doesn't matter.

But yeah, a sale would probably have me doubling my output of articles lol.

 

What script are you using to collect the opt in email?

 

phplist. It's free and my hosting fantastico has it for auto installs.

I'lll probably drop it for aweber, I just need the reassurance of getting two sales a month from the mailing list to justify it.

 

Why is aweber better?

 

Aweber is a paid service. It's designed for that and you can do a lot more with it. Like ahh, if someone signs up, it can be setup to send an automatic email every day, like for a free 7 day course, or something along those lines.

Plus aweber works hard to stay off spam lists. If I use phplist and end up getting on a spam list than I'm done, aweber will ensure that won't happen.

I'm not saying I would spam, it's just someone could be using a mailing list on my webhost and spammed too much and ruins it for everybody.

8 Articles submitted today. That brings me to my cap for ezine articles. I have to wait for 3 articles to be accepted than apply for what will hopefully be platinum. I haven't had any problems with the last 25 articles I submitted, so I can only hope so. The articles in the queue probably won't be approved until tomorrow, so I'll just have to wait.

I also updated 3 squidoo pages today as well. Oh and encase I didn't mention, I do submit one article to my blog each day. It's rewritten so it's unique content.

2nd affialiate on blog = 21 click

I'm not getting much in the way of traffic to squidoo though. Maybe I'm doing this squidoo stuff wrong. Does anyone have a link to a thread about squidoo or a blog post that explains how to use it properly.

 

Just got my first chance to request for an upgrade. Hopefully they approve it before they finish for the weekend.

Not sure if I'll get any articles done today. I've wrote 35 articles on one very small sub niche. I'm sort of exhausted. I'm going to work on a new niche squeeze page and prepare to write articles for that.

Oh I'll also start submitting my already submitted articles at ezine to other article directories. For goarticles I'll try putting a direct link to an affiliate and see how many times it actually gets clicked.

Okay, I was just submitting some of my already published articles on ezine to goarticles. I put a direct link in the resource box to my affiliate, so I'll keep you posted on how many clicks those generate.

As for my niche, Ahh, main one right now is female bodybuilding. I'm not sure how popular that one is. Secondary is female strength training.

 

Didn't get much done the last few days. Sort of getting other things out of the way. I'll try to get new squeeze pages for a new niche done today. Hopefully. By Monday, I can get back into my routine.

Good job so far.

I started article marketing in Februari this year. Total noob.

I use Clickbank & CJ products.

My landing pages are all blogs.

So far I made $145 from CB & $100 from CJ

Although I made less with CJ they are converting better.

CJ I have Ebay products.

Total articles: 24

pointers:

I do research BEFORE I write or promote. If my research shows that the article has a good chance to get on the first page for that term or phrase, is my main criteria.

I have picked high gravity products on CB. Not sure if that is the best way, to be honest. I will also check out some low gravity ones next month.

My main advice I can give you is to learn how to use keywords, keyword phrases AKA longtail keywords. Your goal is to get your article on the first page of Google search for that phrase. If you cannot get that accomplished you will not get much traffic.

Most experts here say that you need about 100 uniques to your landing page for 1 sale. It appears to be true for CB but my CJ is converting way better than that. I just need to finetune which products to select there that pay better commission AND still convert.

P.S.

I haven't bought any books or ebooks on the subject of marketing on the internet. WHat I learned I learned for just searching and als9o a great deal from forums like this one.

To find out how many get reprinted, set up a google alert to send you an email every time it finds the title of your article.

To be honest, I think you will need to drastically increase your article output to make reasonable money from this method. But good luck and I will be checking this thread.

Thanks for the advice. I have spent time doing research on long keywords that actually get some SE traffic. The products I've been selling have been very niche related, but the gravity is low. So I'm planning on trying some high gravity products and seeing if that has an effect.

I haven't exactly tried to sell to my mailing list yet. All they do is signup, verify their email, and get an email of my free ebook.
