Hi! I am a software developer selling advanced stock analysis software for $99/year. I am thinking about using affiliate marketing as the next step promoting my software, offering maybe 30% for affiliates. I have stumbled upon ClickBank thinking this might be a good solution...but I'm not quite sure... it mostly seems to selling shitty pdf's promising to solve all problems for you. My webpage is: www_dot_optimaltrader_dot_net Do you think ClickBank might be a the right step for me to take? With kind regards, petpap
You can try Clickbank, but note that 30% commission is very low. To get affiliates you should offer no less than 50% commission.
bl4ckmaN^ is right that most affiliates refer your sales page if your commission is 50% or more. However, if you can provide a good content that affiliate will think that your site converts well then that 30% is possible. Your problem now is to convince affiliates.
georgecotton I would say that 30% is toooooooo low. Go to Clickbank and find a successful product with such commission. You won't be able to find anything
Here's a top tip on affiliate comissions: Give HUGE payouts to start with (at least 75%) and then really go for it on the backend. Hope this helps
Ok, i'll consider giving high payouts, but the main question is: Is ClickBank appopriate for Software Marketing or are there better alternatives?
I say start selling it cheaper and give a high commission... Then, when your gravity will start going up, raise the price and lower the %commission This way affiliates will still get the same amount - and you will get more
