Clickbank announced they'll introduce a new business model called "Charity Revenue Sharing" which means they'll give 15% of their revenue for charity purposes. I thought this is a great until I saw this on their Terms: "If You promote, market or otherwise advertise ("Promote" or a "Promotion") any product which is registered for sale via the ClickBank Services, either by You or by another ClickBank client (each a "Product"), whether via the Clickbank Services or via any other online or offline channel or medium for the purpose of earning a percentage of the sale price of any Product sold as a result of such Promotion ("Commissions"), You agree and Certify ClickBank to put 15% of your sales in our Charity Revenue Sharing ("CRS") program." This means we'll basically lose 15% of our sales... I guess we'll have to work EVEN harder from now on
what? They can't be serious. Giving 15% of our money away to charity? I can give my own money thanks - I don't want them to take it from me. If this is how I think it is - then CB really are getting too fat. It needs to stop.
They already implemented it because with recent sales i have noticed a drop in the amounts and I emailed CB to find out why. They told me that a portion of my revenue was marked for a monthly donation to the charity of my choice. Well I have not chosen a charity or seen anything like that. Apparently you can choose one in your account settings, if you do not, then it looks as though the default option is "Helping Hands". I looked it up and it is an organization that: Helper Monkeys! So a portion of my March revenue is buying Monkeys!
