Stem Cell Education | Read About Adult Stem Cells | Repair Stem Cells.org As some of you may know I'm a cartoonist. I've worked in news and comic books and animation for years. A few years ago I put together and illustrated a full color children's book about stem cells. Many people are just now understanding what stem cells are and the miracles they're doing in laboratories. I mean we are seriously kickin' butt with stem cells and my boss is one of the leaders in the industry. Anyhow, I suggested we put it as an ebook and have Clickbankers sell it. The questions are would you be interested in selling it and what price would you suggest for a 24 page full color e-book on this subject? This way I'll know best what to price it. The e-book will have the illustrations plus some video and audio of our director explaining the treatments and technologies behind stem cells. Thanks, Greg
As a father of 4 and experienced online marketer, I would say no. My reasoning is below. As a father, I have never thought about having my kids learn about stem cell research. I really cant imagine that many (if any) parents have ever thought about it. This creates a problem defining your target market. If we can accept that people are not searching, reading or thinking about ways for the children to learn more about stem cells, we would then have to ask...Who do we market this to? The only answer I can think of is parents in general. The "in general" part is your problem. This severely lessens how targeted your traffic is. Think about it. You would have to market to parents that are either looking for something else, belong to groups or forums, belong to email groups, etc. They would have to 1. have no religious or ethical issues with stem cell research. 2. Have a desire for their children to learn about it 3. Have that desire be big enough for them to pay for it I just don't see a market for the product outside of the education system. People do not already possess a need for this guide so you would have to create one. I don't think you could create a strong enough need to get people to pull out their credit cards. Best of luck BTW is the name of your group RSCI? cause they have an illustrated guide called "Super Stemmys"
Yes, RSCI. We work with adult stem cells not embryonic stem cells. Been invited to the White House twice on the issue of adult stem cells. That's the trick. People didn't know the difference between the types of stem cells and our children's book and website and blogs and tutorials cover these. There was no market for stem cell tutorials but we broke more ground than anyone. Had to battle big pharma and the medicos too. You wouldn't believe the nonsense we went through but our doctors and technicians proved long before mainstream medicine that things could be done. Got interviewed by all the main news groups from NBC, CNN and such. You're right on several points but, sometimes you have to keep breaking new ground. Our hardcover book has done well. Accepted by the large medical institutions like Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles. That is spreading as we're so well established historically they can't get around us with patents and other discoveries. We'll be on the news more because the numerous trials are coming out with astonishing results. These treatments are like something out of Star Trek. We'll continue to keep plugging away at it to see what happens. Thanks for the input though.
