I know CB has tons of affiliates, are they really successful ?

Do CB affiliates participate in other networks like CPA networks.I just like to understand.

Nope, none of the products sell, and every single vendor is still hoping for their first sale, it's all a hoax and we're all broke :(

Sorry had to do that :) You can generate millions with clickbank my friend, just be careful where/what you buy and how you get influenced into the CB affiliate game, it can be a wild ride sometimes ;)

Prepare a lot, read this board for a few days at least, when you launch do it with certainty and leave little to surprise.

    To Your Success.

Clickbank can make money, but the worst part of clickbank is chargebacks.

Because they are digital downloads only (NON-TANGIBLE), lots of people just ask clickbank for a refund. Clickbank will refund, no questions asked.

    BANG, there goes you commission.

We have had far more success with promoting TANGIBLE/PHYSICAL goods. Because they are tangible goods, buyers tend to be less "chargeback happy".

We would suggest any program for physical goods that give at least 30% commission.

Here is one example if you are interested, a "Genuine College Degree in the Mail" website that has had a consistent high ROI for us and they use a trusted 3rd party affiliate program: instantdegrees.com

Lots of refunds...yes if you try to sell those crappy products.
I carefully select what I want to promote, if i get too many refunds, i remove the product.

My average refund rate is under 5%.
So clickbank works and can bring good amount of money.:D

You tend to go to refund city ONLY when you hype a product out of oblivion just to get a sale. By providing emotionally sound and ethically positive benefits to the products you promote...tapping into their sub-concious need for the product, then you will be far more unlikely to get tons of refunds.

Remember, although you're not dealing with customer service as an affiliate - you are subject to "poor" customer service. If you get a rubbish customer then you're highly likely to receive a refund because of the "poor level of service" they receive.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that Clickbank products ARE quality and ARE worth promoting, however it's how you SELL the product that counts. It's great getting 5 people to buy, but if you sell on false promises, then you'll likely get 5 refunds which is potentially MORE damaging to your confidence than not selling at all...

Agreed that in tangible goods, there is a less scope of refund, but what about the commission? It is very less...just under 15%. Some even offer 3% commission. I do not think then there could much gain in their promotion.

Clickbank affiliates do well when they actively promote high-quality products that people NEED and WANT. And, when they avoid highly-competitive products.

Too many people try to promote the products with the highest price and highest commission.... and, honestly, those are the toughest products to sell.

Instead, look for something that people can afford... people would be willing to pay for.... something that doesn't already have 2,000 other affiliates competing against you.

I would beg to differ on the basis of competition.

Competition shows that the product has profitability and popularity which then shows you, as an aspiring promoter, that the product is wanted.

This means that no matter how many other affiliates are promoting the product, as long as you can just get your site in front of the visitor's eyes in the quickest way possible - providing value and a quick solution...

That's why you SHOULD go after products with lots of competition because it shows that people are buying the product and there is a need for the product. How can you gauge, otherwise, how much a product is needed just by looking at it or looking at forums, etc?

I'll second the difference, though there is no harm in finding low gravity great branded products too... Bigger name brands and outlets have this same battle. If there is a new hot toy on the market, will walmart not order it because it's already in 435 other distribution networks? Good marketers can move product, usually lot's of product being moved is a sign of both good product and conversion ratio. Once you prove a profitable product whether its hidden or every other affiliate is on it too, it's just a money flip game duplicating profitable efforts on bigger levels.

Those are refunds, not chargebacks. Chargebacks are quite expensive as ClickBank charges a fixed fee for each chargeback.

I was skeptical at first and agree some of the products are absolute junk. I choose my products carefully and have had minimal refunds.
