The easiest way is to use adWords' inbuilt conversion tracking features. All you have to do is enable 'Conversion Tracking' within your adWords account, and then contact the ClickBank merchant and ask them to place your AdWords conversion tracking code on their 'Thank You' page. Then you will see all your conversions within the adWords interface.

Google Analytics rules ! I hooked it up last week and I just like logging on to see the little dots on the World Map. The little dots are hits to your site from around the world. Havent made any sales yet but even so....I like looking at the stats.

Get a google account. (gmail is a good start)

I want to type the link but this forum wont let me yet (I guess i havent got enough posts yet) Just google search google analytics.

I find it quite good. But I am still a noob and anything seems good to me.
Its free so thats a good start.

You could have google analytics when you're an Adwords advertiser.

If you vendor doesn't cooperate when you may just have to use the method of clicks to conversions. ( Have landing pages w/ different urls ex: index1.php, index2.php etc... And use some nice click tracking script.)

You could use Google analytics for your landing page. If the vendor doesn't want to change their thank you page you can add a tracking id to your ClickBank link. If you want to get keyword specific then you would need to create multiple landing pages as mentioned above and use different ClickBank tracking ids on each page.

Unless it's a great converter off the bat, it's usually not worth all the hassles if the merchant will not cooperate with you as an affiliate. The ones where merchants cooperate fully with you is where you can do some insane tracking techniques at multiple levels,
