Not sure if this is the right forum but I thought this domain name sale was an interesting one because it seems to break the numeral rule. I have a number of domain names with the number 2 in them, where the '2' clearly stand for 'to'. In the appraisal forum all my names were dismissed but I'm just wondering if there is a trend now for such names to be increasing in value. I noticed that this week Back2Basics.com sold for $4,000 There were also sales for football360.com ($33,000) and racing360.com ($4,750). Seems to me that there is no reason for the numeral 2 to bring down the value of a domain name if it clearly stands for the word 'to'. Likewise, 4 and 'for'. In fact, I'm pretty certain that ClickToCompare.com would not sell for $25,000. It also seems logical to suppose that keyword + numeral combinations will increase sharply in value through increasing rarity.
I'm sure ClickToCompare.com wouldn't sell for $25k either let alone Click2Compare.com, unless it was seriously developed with a lot of revenue.
