Click through rate (ctr)

Well two things :

1. If you are doing any BH, CTR of 2% is a good gauge.
2. If your site is legit and traffic is natural, you can easily go to 10-15% without worrying.

 

You simply have no idea what you are talking about period. Niches that are product based usually have higher CTR because people are searching for products to buy. If they see a relevant Google Ad which says "50% off all product", the chances that they will click is pretty high due to the natural buying intention.

You have mention that your friend sites are illegitimate and that is probably the reason why he got banned. Any legit methods that get 30-40% CTR don't even need to fear a bit because they did nothing wrong.

Never reveal your site publicly if you are already making decent money. You never know who will click bomb your site and put your account at risk.

In fact, I just follow the xfactor template which looks like http://www.4slicetoaster.org/ and CTR increase from 2% to over 10% this month.

 

Google does care about CTR as long as your traffic is legit, i personally get 30-35% CTR on average.

 

I guess as long as We have legit traffic no problem with CTR. But in fact, low CTR is sometime means your traffic is legit. I got less than 1% CTR and I'm Ok with that

 

Yes, and sometimes low CTR means your traffic is not legit.

 

I have tons of traffic going to my sites,
CTR is around 0.5-1%

 

wow nice ctr 30-35 , as you said , as long it is legit is perfectly fine.
