can anybody tell me how these numbers look? CTR is approximately .60% for the current month (average). I am not sure how to read these numbers and if they can be improved. thanks
well in these days these seem to be a impressive scenario btw is this a blog, website or forum , if you want a clear picture
60% i really gud but make sure they are not repeated clicks. You can see that by looking into your logs.
It's pretty good. For example : I used to have a hosting with 5k+ forums and we would be happy with even 0,05% but hardly ever got it. You could try integrating you menu with the ads, or place more ads on the hotspots.
that is already a good CTR. i don;t worry much about the numbers that Big G put in as they can always get corrected later on. Sometime is not on real time. But your dates makes it a little bi baffling though.
It's all about the niche and the intent of your visitors. You really need to test your pages to see what pages are performing and what are not. Pull the ads from the dead pages. If you are using multiple ad blocks to up your impression count you may want to reconsider that strategy. You can't make people click but you sure can improve upon your changes to make more.
Nice numbers. To improve your CTR, move your ads toward the upper left corner of your site, maybe even put a small banner with 1 text link in the top left. The closer you move your ads to the top left, the higher your CTR will be. And of course 'above the fold' ads always have the highest CTR.
Why you are worried. 0.6% from forum is absolutely perfect From my websites usualy I got about 1-2%CTR. if you have more this means that you are using not target traffic.
While I do see some nice CTR at the top left section this definitely is not the case on all sites, on my niche sites I find that ads in contest "block ads surrounding content works better if its a blog style, while website links tend to draw the most clicks. Also 125 x 125 blog ads bring in some good conversions. I would suggest using a site heat map program to find out where your visitors are clicking and then target ads in those areas, no too websites are the same and simply saying "place ads here" will definitely not work for everyone. It's all about the analytical studies of your visitors entry and exit patterns!
Yea good point fanaticalcontent. Look at your analytics and see what links people are clicking, and place ads near by. Above the fold ads(125 x 125's are good) positioned towards the left is a good start though for increasing CTR.
