click rate is low

I have some question about google adsense.
I am running google adsense on my blog. Sometimes I get high click rate, but sometimes I get very low CPC. Suppose some day I get 10 clicks and the earning is somehow $1.90, but someday I got 5 clicks and get $2.50, I know that the rate will be variate according to the advertiser. I studied that for my keyword like "work at home, affiliate programs" the pay rate is approx $2.00 per click, so why I am getting so very low CPC? Again if the page rank will increase will my CPC increase?

The pay rate is going to depend on a lot of things - the keywords, the source of your traffic, whether clicks from your site are converting for the advertisers, etc. It may be that your site has been subject to "smart pricing" because people who click the ads on your site aren't turning into customers for the advertisers (which is their goal, after all).

Read more here on the official Adsense blog:

So be sure you have good quality traffic and good content on your site. You can also do a search on the forum here for more discussion of how to improve your CPC.

if possible, only use 1 ad block. the 2nd and 3rd ad blocks don't pay as much. also optimize your ads by having high paying keywords on your site.

Wouldn't go over 3% on a blog post. Actually, try and keep it under 2% because keyword density not as important on new search algorithms like it used to be.
