I'm interestig what is click rate of SERP position for example: what click rate I can expect if my page are in position 5 and what click rate could be if my position 8 ? thank you
Depends of the niche, depends of the competitors authority, depends of the number of searches. Give us more details.
Try here. It's dated to 2006 but it's meaningless: http://www.redcardinal.ie/google/12-08-2006/clickthrough-analysis-of-aol-datatgz/
thanks banana8, that was I wanted I understand that click rate depends on many factors, but there should be statistic how visitors mostly behave.. i just could'n find it
From my own personal experience , this is the rate of clickthroughs for 1st page (I've literally owned the 1st page before via 4-6 different websites with multiple pages ranking. 1st - 40% 2nd - 25% 3rd - 15% 4th-9th 4-7% 10th 5% I know the %s don't add up , but I've found out that ALOT of people just start clicking through 1st through 5th to get the information you want , so there are many repeat visitors.
Click rate means, rate per click, if they keyword you're bidding on have high searched its click through rate will be high.
i agree with Brandon Schlichter you get about 4~7% if you are in position 8. By the way, you description might affect the CTR too
