Click Rate and SERP positions

    I'm interestig what is click rate of SERP position

    for example:
    what click rate I can expect if my page are in position 5
    and what click rate could be if my position 8 ?

    Depends of the niche, depends of the competitors authority, depends of the number of searches. Give us more details.

    I understand that click rate depends on many factors, but there should be statistic how visitors mostly behave.. i just could'n find it :)

    From my own personal experience , this is the rate of clickthroughs for 1st page (I've literally owned the 1st page before via 4-6 different websites with multiple pages ranking.

    1st - 40%
    2nd - 25%
    3rd - 15%
    4th-9th 4-7%
    10th 5%

    I know the %s don't add up , but I've found out that ALOT of people just start clicking through 1st through 5th to get the information you want , so there are many repeat visitors.

    Click rate means, rate per click, if they keyword you're bidding on have high searched its click through rate will be high.

    i agree with Brandon Schlichter
    you get about 4~7% if you are in position 8. By the way, you description might affect the CTR too
