Hi all, just courious did any one often click on people adsense ad when you browsing net? For me, once i join adsense, i lightly click those ad.
No, i mean once you see some attractive ad on other site, did you willing to click on it even you know it is ad? For me, i will not prefer to click those ad. cause mostly can't get more infor. i want.
Because I have an adsense account myself I almost never click any adsense ads. Don't know why really... Maybe it's because I am thinking "am I really interested in the advertised web page, or will i just waste the advertisers money?.." I may click the ad if it is really interesting, but most of the time I am just curious. Then I copy and paste the shown URL, trying not to click the ad.
Actually last time i do click a lot of adsense ad. Because at that time, i don't know it was a ad and people was paying it. Once i join adsense and adwords, i really lightly to click, cause mostly can't really get what i want when clicking those ad. hahhahaha...
I don't usually click on any ads even if I'm interested in them because (as kjewat said) I'm afraid that adsense will tie that click with me (as the click and my account share my IP address) and might think that it's an attempt to get someone else banned.
You cannot click your own ads even if it is attractive because google iwll ban you and not give you an explanation and thats the end of the story. It doesn't matter what your reasoning is, Google really doesn't care. It's a priviledge to be in the adsense program, so Google can take that away for any reason, any time without an explanation. So if the google dude that reviews your click is in a bad mood, you lose your adsense account with no explanation. Just don't take the chance, period. Hexed
wwhhing means clicking on ads on other sites when you are normally browsing the the net. wwhhing yes I click on ads that may get me to the info I need and have been doing so for a full year without getting banned from Adsense. Although I do refuse to click on an ad that sits on a spam site or a scrapper site.
I usually don't. Especially if I make a SEARCH for some very common term, I would much rather click on the top 10 results than on a google ad no matter how attractive it is. Usually there is a huge quality differentce...
Even if you're on dialup or any other connection with a dynamic ip, google will still be able to detect your clicks. IP's are not the only way to trace a particular computer on the internet. You've got cookies from all your google accounts i.e adsense, gmail, adwords, sitemap bla bla bla stored in your pc. Some fraudsters think they can outsmart google, but google's the one with lots of cash, so they're definitely the smarter one! One more thing is that you should never login to your adsense account from any other place than your adsense work station. Just to be safe. Just wanted to add to this although its not directly related to the first post. Please don't take it as hijacking this thread either. Just some advise for those would-be-self-ad-clikers!
I do click if an ad really worth it, like a new affiliate network or something that I whould really wont to check out ... but sure I will not click my own ads on DP because when you log in your ads will never be show to you, so there is no problem on clicking ads on DP if you are logged in ...
I click ads only when they interest me. It got really annoying a few times when I saw interesting ads on my own site but couldn't click them. Than I'd go to similar sites looking for the same ad, mostly unsuccessfully.
I stopped clicking on ads. May be this is because I am using adsense. The instant we see an ad we know that it is an ad and not a part of the site. Only under extreme conditions, I click on the ads. Once I was searching for a hosting company that accepts paypal. I searched on and on but found none were satisfactory. But on one of the sites, the ad said "paypal hosting", and I clicked on the ad and bought their hosting package. This is our case. But the average internet joe may not know the difference between an ad and the site's content. Because it is still like a link. So they click. Every day many new people get introduced to the web. Being new they click, but once they become accustomed, they may stop clicking on ads or become "ad blind". But my opinion is this model will never be outdated like the popups did. Because links are an integral part of any website. Popups were never! And as long as links remain the navigational feature of websites, ads are out to stay.
