Hello everyone, is there any anybody can explain why some webmasters use words such as "click here", "more information", "visit now" as the keyword for link building? actually the website is about dating, why they not use "online dating" or "free dating" for example. Thanks for sharing
just a favorite / some manner / or just behavior; links with these words usually linked to external sites
This is very unique method of choosing anchors which is being used after penguin update. Penguin works, in part, by analyzing the inbound link profiles of every website. Penguin looks for links that appear to be manipulative and unnatural. The primary signal for an unnatural link appears to be the anchor text of that link. If a high ratio of your inbound link profile consists of non-branded identical anchor text, Penguin is likely to flag each of the links containing that anchor text as being unnatural. This results in a complete devaluation of all the links consisting of that anchor text in your inbound link profile. However, as a result of some testing and dozens of inbound link profile audits, we recommend no more than 2% of your total inbound links should contain the anchor text for any one of your primary keywords, and no more than 20% of your inbound link profile should consist of exact-match keyword anchors. This is a far cry from pre-Penguin best practices, when a 40% to 50% exact-match anchor text ratio was considered to be best practice. Sites that still contain this ratio, or higher, are considered “over-optimized,†which is why Penguin is also known as the long-awaited “over-optimization penalty.†That is why now webmasters trying to get diversity of anchors like "click here", "more information", "visit now" along with other primary anchors. I hope you found your answer
Such anchors make link building develops in a natural way. In addition, this type of links provoke visitor to action. It's good practice to use such solutions.
Look at keyword distributions of top ranking sites, you'll see those keyword phrases. It meant to make link portfolio natural, the tricky part is to know when to use them. Always pick the best anchor test for your visitors, not the search engines.
It is for natural anchor text, but Google understands this thing, if your too many anchor texts are off the keywords then you would be tracked.
These words shouldn't really be used as anchor text, but they can be used in call to action text to let users know that they are being referred to another site. Hope that helps. Have a good day!
