I'm beginning to suspect click fraud on my Adwords ads. Does anyone know of any good and inexpensive detection programs?
http://www.directresponse.com/keywordmax.html I was able to prove to an Adwords rep that people were ripping me off.
Thank you, the members thank you, looks like you will be a great member here, glad you joined again Crazy
Did showing data from KeywordMAX to Google reps do what you wanted to do ? Were you compensated back for invalid clicks ?
Google never refund me any money for invalid clicks. Did anyone around here get refund for invalid clicks?
I was able to prove it to them and then they did some investigating and found one of my competitors (I assume) was clicking like ten times a day. I was refunded and have sinced banned him (static IP). It was a lot of hassle and back-and-forth with Google. But well worth it!!
I've tried a couple of times (Had adwords to Amazon associates links, for instance, that showed 3 unique visitors off of 68 clicks) but I got nothing... I was a newbie advertiser back then, and really haven't pushed the issue since (I stick around .05 clicks and usually don't do content anymore, only google search), but I'm glad to hear they now are more open to refunds. I've spent thousands on advertising, but never gotten a dime in refund for clickfraud.
I just noticed a jump from about 40 clicks in December to over 9000 in January on an Adgroup's content ads for one of my clients. This didn't show up in my log analysis program. Since the PPC campaign is quite big it didn't show when looking at overall campaign stats. I only saw the problem because I had a feeling something wasn't quite right due to something I saw in log files (too many clicks from one specific country). I then went through all my Google campaigns and saw the jump. Just started my correspondance with Google. My guess is that a competitor wants us to shut down our ads in this group. Thought I would warn everyone not to let Google Adwords go on automatic for too long.
I used the Adwords system once to give me site a visitor gain, but I only paid without noticing a real visitor gain. When I stopped using the system I still had the same amount of visitors and paid 2 euros less a day, i.e. nothing Maybe that were just clicks by users who click my site anyway from the top results who didn't know that I pay for adword results.
Have any of you used Enhance? If so how does that traffic compare to Google & Overture? Please advise...
At an entry price of $99/month, only mid- to large advertisers can afford using KeywordMax. That's unfortunate.
I had the same problem at first. My 1st month had a 0% conversion rate with adwords. But, I really nailed down my ads to very specific keywords and my conversion rate is now 10%.
