How do websites that use CMS (Squidoo?), which pays publishers based on the clicks on the pages they make, protect against click fraud? It seems like there's a high incentive to get friends to click on ads so that you can get more money. Google has systems that check if click fraud is going on, so the advertisers are protected. But how do they protect the website owner (eg Squidoo.com)?
I'll rephrase in case it was confusing. If I make a website like Squidoo.com, how can I protect myself from click fraud?
1.) You won't get far doing this. Unique clicks are counted and considered. 2.) You're gonna need a lot of friends to even hit the minimum earned money before they release a check. 3.) Don't be one of those people who ruin a good thing for everyone.
