Obviously I emailed google about it. Here is there response. Is google F**in kidding me? 2) Then telling me ensure that I don't generate invaild clicks read our terms and policies. I know what the rep was implying, that I'm imvolved in click fraud programs where you pay X amount for clicks on my ads. If I was doing this do they actually think I would email them If I was doing this? I have been with adsense over 3 years and the support and cold responses have gotten much worse over time. I have blocked the ip from seeing my adsense ads (another great feature of AS) but what can I do now, if it happens again?
I have software, Asrep. I'm wondering if google send me generic responses what else can I do. I dont want to get banned, but sending me a generic responses tells me they dont give a flying F about it, until payday then they will just ban my account without giving me a reason like so many others.
I'm confused how you knew one IP was commiting click fraud on your site. What did he do, click on 100 ads in one hour or something like that? I'm curoius how you came to the conclusion that you were being sabotaged. Does your software recognize sabotage?
I received 9 clicks on one ad in under 5 minutes from the same ip. I have my software set to 2 in 5 minutes and the emails started pouring in. asRep has click fraud prevention built in. First it will email me on parameters I set. If I feel its way too much too soon, I add his ip to my blacklist, then he wont see my adsense ads.
Oh, do you use the free version of asRep or the paid version? I'm using the free version of asRep but don't see such features. Let me know whether I need to pay in order to get such features.
andyem - don't worry too much about the last statement. googles sends that to EVERYONE. they're not implying that you are involved in click fraud. it's kinda like their signatures. for example, you may have noticed that every email asked you to look at GOogle Support for answers, even after the first email you send them. it's just formality that they include that clause in their email. in your case, any email to do with click frauds will have that 'kindly reminder' that you do not get involved in click fraud. don't worry about it, it doesn't mean anyting.
I think that's the problem. You're taking what asRep tells you as gospel, when in fact it, like Adlogger, it really doesn't tell you what actually happens, it simply predicts what it thinks happened based on user behavior. That last part is very important. If asRep works anything like Adlogger, then it will register a user putting their mouse over an ad as an actual click, when in reality the user might have just decided to stop his mouse pointer over one of your ad (by accident) then went to get a cookie for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, your software keeps counting the fact that a mouse pointer has been placed on your ad for a period of time as a click. No matter how good the software people buy to "track" their Adsense clicks, they must always keep in mind that all these third-software can do is predict. The only person with actual stats on what gets clicked on your site is Adsense, and that's because they are the only one with access to the data being sent by the script on your page.
Hi, I have few jealous frnds who wanna get me banned from adsense. They sent me an offline message warning me. Now what am I supposed to do. Just worried. I have written an email to adsense support to let them know abt the situation. Please suggest me. Regards, Ajeet __________________
Some friends you have...jebus! you should get adlogger and put in thier IPs and it wont even look like your site has ads when they visit it.
