WOW! I just checked my adsense stats and noticed that on one of my sites I have one click for $3.12!!!

Pitty it is a directory so there is no way I can know what that ad was about

$2,46 is my highest till now. This week i ll add a adsense tracker script to monitor which urls are getting the most clicks. I will then start to monitor them one by one using google's new monitor technology. The one that will get the highest payout will of course get more promoted. Adding some backlinks. ;)

it was about french fries, and i was the one that did the click :) hhhe. Just kidding. Maybe in the coming days google provides this functionality too, but probably not, it has more cons then pros. What do ya say fryman ?

I agree. Heck, if I knew the exact ad that got this click, you can bet I would be building a site about it right now and putting adsense banners all over it! :D

What I have noticed is that medical and health related sites bring in the best $$$$. Entertainment and similar ones only give me a couple of cents per click. Oh, and forget about the stupid mesothelioma myth, those bring in a few cents also.

Haven't tried out the mortage and credit ones, but it is a project I have in mind.

lol. and I have one for 8 cents.

I've been using asrep with very little luck. I wanted the real time channel info, and that is working well. I'm just using cookies - the other methods I wasn't comfortable with.

I had one for $5.19 once - it was off me blog page so which seems to be mainly for paid hosting and paid blogging (it never relates to the actual content :()

Because they want ads for the subject matter of the blog to appear as they would be more related and provide a higher Click Through

I'd never thought of that - what a great idea. It doesn't explain why I get so many hosting ads though?

I have several sites that consistently average $1/click that make up the majority of my time. I have another one that usually gets about $8-$15/click but my traffic is so low that it never amounts to more than a few a month. Then my biggest site with 1,000's and 1,000's of visitors only gets stinkin .15 cents a click

How can you tell the cost of a click? I can see impressions/CTR and the new eCPM but not individual clicks.

I did a check a few minutes after the day finished, so the new stats were just starting to flow in. I noticed that one of the sites had just one click for that amount.

Lots of poeple used to report clicks that high but not anymore. Seems that G has placed arbitrary caps on a lot of popular high-value keywords. It really doesn't pay to chase those high paying keywords and keyphrases with AS anymore. It's best to just focus on building great content and attracting as many visitors as you can--using legitimate methods, of course.

    As always, IMO.
