    Heisann,

Do you think it's illegal to display an adsense click counter to site users? Has anyone done this before?

    [adsense unit here]
Number of ad clicks today: 14

I can't find anything in the guidelines that prohibit me from displaying an adsense click counter to users. I think that a small counter, displaying i.e. the number of clicks today, could induce more clicks from users (perhaps just "checking the counter is working"?).

I know we're not allowed to encourage clicks, but would this count as encouraging?

    Thanks!

    - Mikael

I think that it would be encouraging the clients to click. Say you had 100 clicks then they would be more likely to click on your web page. Whereas it gives everyone equal opportunity, and to who has the most popular site.

I think it would be encouraging clicks, I know that I would be more likely to click an advertisement that has had many clicks before, I would want to see what they did. If encouraging clicks is against TOS, then yes it would be illegal from my point of view.

How can you do that? I would like to know how you can provide a live feed from your adsense account to the webpage.
