click counter and download counter Question

    hello,all,
    how can i set up php or mysql to count number of clicks for a link?
    and i have some files to let people download,
    same question,
    how can i count the number of times download?
    and if you have any script that can do that?

    that's the easiest script ever.. just create a counter, put it in a variable that when the user click it will added up. and then print it out -.-"
