Click banner to download the file

I have some banner codes as adsense but not adsense codes as it is against the rules. What i would like to do is, i see on some websites "click on the banner to download the file" when the banner is clicked the download starts and the banner link works. I think this can be done with php or js but i'd prefer php. Do you know how this can be done?

 

Do you mean a flash banner (.swf) or normal text banner?

 

Nope not flash i mean normal banners. Some starts like <script langage javascript>... bla bla they are not one line codes.

 

if you want the link to download a file, it is simple htm code
<a href="file name">Text here</a>

 

ah nope what i mean is "you have to click on the banner to download a file." The banner has to have two functions one let the visitor download the file and the other is going to the link given to the banner.

 

That'd be so against all PPC programs. I wouldn't suggest doing this.

 

If I could figure out how to do that through adsense, I'd make a fortune

JS would probobly be the only way to do this.
