I am very very new to clickbank and i need couple of examples of how to use it and couple of examples of how people make money on it and you can even share how much. Is it worth getting into it?
If you have the knowhow to sell affiliate stuff, then you can make bank on it. My reccomendation, if you already have a website that has great traffic, start a newsletter then after a few months and lots of subscribers, add in little bits and pieces about the affilliate products.
I have to be honest here and say that despite my best attempts, learning from various eBooks and paid forums, that the "secrets" that really work are being held back by those who're successful with Clickbank, and I'm no more successful today (as in $0 sales) than I was 1 year ago. Yeah, you'll get bits and pieces like use Adwords, tune your campaigns, test, test, test, track, track, track, etc, etc - but what most don't reveal is that selecting the right product at the right time is of paramount importance, nothing else really matters. Who's going to tell you their system of combing through Clickbank for gold? They also won't reveal that only certain landing pages work for certain types of products. They're not going to spill the beans on why out of 10 Adword ads for the same Clickbank product, only 1 ad can make USD400 from $10, and the others are just slightly above breakeven point. Good luck spending 5 years finding out the right recipe and combination - nobody's going to share their blueprint with you. Me? I'm still trying! The newly-launched product referred to in my signature offers me some hope; just bought it yesterday. I'll come clean and mention upfront that there's a referral link somewhere there, and I get a commission if you purchase through that - but I'm offering some links to free, useful information that'll complement Affiliate Project X.
You want to know how to make $400 from $10 from google adwords? Well it's not likely, you are right, but it is possible. The biggest converting keywords are product names. Eg, you want to sell a dog training book, sure you bid on all the dog training keywords that make you money, there's a lot to it but essentially you keep the ones that make you a good return on investment eg 50% or more profit. The ones that make you massive returns, like 300%+ are the ones that are on product names. So to make $400 from a $10 investment in adwords, you'd need to find a product that pays $400 commissions (or more) per sale, such as john reese's 'traffic secrets', and then bid on the search term "Traffic secrets" and other ones like "john reese traffic secrets", "john reese". You get the idea. And these people, given the fact that they have already heard of 'traffic secrets' are already primed to buy. You can push their decision even further by actually giving a detailed review of the product, or comparison with other products, or by offering to give away an extra product that you own the rights for if they purchase via your link. I'd be guessing that traffic secrets would on average cost you more than $10 per sale (in money you spend on ppc advertising), but it's conceivable that it might have been able to profit $400 per $10 spend on ppcs back when 'traffic secrets' was originally released. You are more likely with product names to make $200 back on a $80 investment (than $400 from a $10 investment), yes competition gets fierce, and that's where google rewards you for being a more relevant website. Make a site that has extra pages (eg articles etc) and include keywords that you use in your adwords ad on your page, and you'll be paying less per click than your competitors. Now just to clarify, product names aren't the only things to bid on with regards to google adwords/overture, etc, nor are they the most important. They form a small minority %age of my pay per click income because I bid a lot on related phrases (eg "stop dog aggression" for dog training). I'm going to do a blog post on how to find these profitable niches and keywords somewhere around the 5th or 6th of october at www.affilorama.com/blog that should clear up a few more things for you. [also if you are on a low budget then you should really be targeting natural search engine listings rather than ppc, even if you have money this should be a core part of your affiliate strategy]
Mark - a demonstration of one of your live Adwords campaigns to Landing Page to Merchant would be most appreciated. I, for one, have been inundated with concepts after concepts - yeah, like the Super Affiliate Handbook, Adwords Miracle, and even Jeremy Palmer's site, etc, etc - but tying everything together, it's all lost on me. There are a limited number of sources which have helped me, but I'm saving that for me, and those who do me the right favours .... but aren't we all like that?
good post mark. if new, check out project x, it's pretty good. that's my review of it. pretty good. o
