    OK guys... I think I found it but can someone confirm. It appears you can do so by puttin this code:
    <META NAME="GOOGLEBOT" CONTENT="NOARCHIVE">

    Would that effect your ranking if you dont want to dipslay your google cache

    thanks

    It might. It might not. Google does whatever it wants. Sometimes if you use the nocache tag when you first put a page online google will never make the cache of that page available. But they still keep a copy on their server. :)

    If you use the nocache tag later on a page that google has already cached then no one really knows what happens. Sometimes they remove the cache, sometimes they don't. Of course you could always email google and ask. They always respond to inquiries about their engine.

    BWAHAHAHAHA! Just kidding. :)

    In regards to affecting rankings,

    www.nytimes.com use it and they rank in the top ten for the term travel.

    I guess people just like to have that option available to them. Afterall it is your content and you have the right to not have it cached. Thats what I think but I don't see any other reasons.

    Every time I was playing with let's say not casual meta tags, like that (<META NAME="GOOGLEBOT" CONTENT="NOARCHIVE"> ) I had problems with indexing sites.
