Clearing an adsense check in INDIA -Question

I got my first check this month on 2 sep .It was in Indian currency .

Now my Question is that how many days will a Indian Banks except CitiBank take to Clearing an adsense check in INDIA.I have deposited my check to my SBI branch on 3rd sep but till today I did not get my money in my bank account so can anybody here in india can tell me how many day it 'll take ?
since it is my first check so i have no idea of approx time

so please let me if some one can answer me for my questions

 

Well, If there is CITIBank in your city...Then it will take just 3 days to clear and if there is no citi bank in your city ,then it may take 7 to 10 days to clear.

My every cheque clears in 3 days and there is citibank branch in my city and I use Indian Overseas Bank for clearing my Adsense cheque.

BTW I live in Kolkata.

 

well thanks for reply ..unfortunatally i don't have CITIBank branch in my city ..Did you mean that you have an Indian Overseas Bank account if Yes ...then dear SBI is just too slow ...

 

Im surprised that adsense sends checks in Indian currency. I thought they only sent dollar denominated checks. In any case, you can deposit the check with any local bank where you have account. If it is outstation check then they will send it for collection and the normal time delay will take place, that is up to 10 days before credit is seen in your account.

 

yes...they are sending in Indian currency and thats pity good ..we didn't have to pay extra ...hope my credit would be seen soon ..it is almost 15 days

 

It takes almost two weeks of time to have your adsense check cleared. In case of inordinate delay, just contact the babus at SBI about the date in which the check was sent for clearing (to the nearest citi bank branch).
I had a very peculiar experience last year when I deposited my check in one of the Indian Overseas Bank branch; ten days after depositing the check, the branch manager called me and handed over the check stating that the check was returned uncleared. He doesn't know what to do with that check
It is the case of idiots manning the managerial position, spoiling the reputation of banks and in turn the image of the country.

 

The problem is not with SBI, it is with Citbank, if there is a local branch of citibank in your city then the cheque is cleared in 3 days time as it is a local clearance, if not then the cheque travels up and down to the nearest city where citibank branch is there, so add up that much more time, i have the citibank branch which is 60 km away in the neighboring city, still it takes 8 days to clear the cheque on an average and sometimes more...i m just waiting for the western union transfer payment mode to start for Indian publishers, i dunno why it is yet to take off

 

well...my citibank branch is about 200 Km from my city ...m waiting for western union transfer payment mode also ..Google is just unfair in that case with Indians ...

 

go to your bank and ask for bank manager what the fuck is this? , he may be trying to fuck you. i m from new delhi and when i was submitted by check in the SBI , i got my funds within 3 days too.

 

in india Check clear's in 3 business days not more then that....

 

It will take 2-3 business days in any bank to clear the check as check is at par

 

in SBI it takes 4-5 days.....

 

I am about to receive my second check in next few days today i went to my SBI branch because my last check didn't clear yet ..when i asked manager what happened with my check ..that guys told me that he don't know how much time more it will take to clear..he told me that there is a citibank strike going in Delhi ..5 days ago he was saying that it is about to clear in 2 or 3 days ..what the hell is this ?...now it's almost one month ....guys please help me ..what should i do ...I do not want to let this incident happen with my second check also ..I am From Agra ...This delay is because Agra Don't have any citibank Brach ...so should I go Delhi and deposit my next check there in SBI branch ..i thing i might save my time ..and check would also be clear in 3 or 4 days

 

I am also indian, I thought that adsense check only can be withdraw by using ICICI bank, I did not know that we can also withdraw money by using SBI.

The US$ Cheque may take 30-45 days.

my check is clear in 2 days always In SBI (state bank of india)

 

it will take just 2 or 3 days to clear If there is CITIBank in your cityand if there is no citi bank in your city ,then it may take 5 to 8 days to clear.

it took 3 days to clear my check.. since its of citibank and holds less branches , it does take time..!!
