Many people like me:eek: have a habit of keeping all my passwords, paypal, credit card details in a file. So whenever they buy something, they will just copy it from there and paste its no it into the credit card field.

This is really dangerous, whenever you copy something it goes to clipboard, and there are many malicious scripts running on many site which can copy this data from clipboard without even your knowledge.

So, to save yourself from this, You can clear your clipboard by following steps:

    1. Right click on a empty area of the desktop.
    2. Click New and Shortcut.
    3. Type cmd /c "echo off | clip" in the location field.
    4. Click on the Next button.
    5. Type Clear Clipboard for the name. NOTE: You can name it anything you would like though.
    6. Click on the Finish button.

This will create a .exe file on your dekstop, so whenever you do any type of transcation online which requires you to copy imp details from your comp to some website. Click on the that .exe file once you are done, it will clear your clipboard from all the information.

    Hope it helps :)

Oh Yes, I forgot to mention about Keyloggers, they are everywhere, Most of the cyber cafe leave administrative accounts without a password, a cracker or user with such intension will first check if the administrative account is unprotected and then Install a keylogger hidden, which then sends all the informations through smtp to his email.

    Very Very Dangerous.

^^^ Yes absolutely there are many incidents happened in past, where it was found that some cybercafe employee was stealing people information through keylogger installed in computers. So it always better to avoid doing online transactions on other then your personal computer.

Thanks for tip. But as far as I know keyloggers can't get your info if you are using On-Screen Keyboard (for winXP users Start>Programs>Accessories>Accessibility>On-Screen Keyboerd) to enter your personal info like login or pass.

How many entrys can be made into the clipboard? And I think the latest version of IE (IE 7?) has a warning message come up when a site is trying to access your clipboard.

If you really need to remind yourself of all the passwords that you are using, I would say save them in a format or coded form, which only yourself understand. Something like encrypted.
For instance, write CodeWorld as “DpefXpsme” in which all the alphabet is actually the one after the original alphabet.

    Makes sense doesn’t it.
