    Check out http://www.timeofthewolf.com/enlarger-lens.html.

Looks like they are representing old eBay listings as their own content within which to display Adsense ads.

Here is another one: http://www.bestbookshere.com/. They are representing eBay content as their own. Surprisingly it is from one of digitalpoint's own (iowadawg - http://forums.digitalpoint.com/member.php?u=16531). Typically sites like eBay strictly limit their content to their own sites. But now I am coming across sites that seem to be all about presenting eBay in their own Web site and their own URL. Am I missing something?

Hold on a moment... Hmmmm... Looks like it might be an actual eBay affiliate program. I am signing up for it as we speak (type & read). We shall see what we shall see...

You learn something new every day. It took me a couple of hours, but now I'm online too with the eBay/Commission Junction affiliate plan (check it out at auctionjungle.com). Seems that Google and eBay are tight with each other and that Adsense makes perfect sense as far as they go together.

Now I just have to decide which eBay search keywords I want for the default.

Blarg!!! Back in the good old days for a while I made $800 to over $1,000 a month just from ebay, and back then you only make about $4.00 per sign-up!!!! I'm giving ebay clicks, but very few bids/sign-ups. I made less than $10.00 last month from ebay!!! grrrr!!!!!

Nintendo, that's not the encouragement a newbie like me needs.

Now, I remembered what led me to my original post. It was because when I did a Google search on my own domain name, auctionjungle, that I discovered verbatim in the search results of that other Website. yeah. (if you do the search, it is the result at the bottom of the page). What has me puzzled is how it got there. You see, two or 3 years ago I listed an enlarger lens on eBay with a reference to my Website. I am wondering why it is showing up here now.

And (sadly) yet again we see the "ban them" and "report them" merchants sounding off before the facts had been established. Even going so far as to imply that a respected member of this forum was doing something "dodgy".

It pays to have patience sometimes guys - despite the quite rapid withdrawal damage can be done.

You can join ebay, and become an affiliate for ebay.
Then you can have sites like mine.
There is not violation of ebay tos using this, because if you are an ebay affiliate, you get a code to put into your website.

If you want a site like mine, just click on the very top of the page for details.

iowadawg, for some reason, the eBay listings are not appearing any more (on your site, or on mine). Is that typical?

This thread points out the problem with people jumping to conclusions about websites they see. When it comes to issues of copyright, you should mention to the site, whose copyright you think is being violated, that you suspect this is the case. It is up to them to deal with the issue.

It may never be obvious from the page that there is some kind of redistribution or syndication agreement in place.

Similarly, reporting sites for something you suspect, but do not know for sure, is not the right approach. If you see a clear and obvious violation of the AdSense TOS, then report it. Reporting sites willy-nilly is only going to affect your reputation.

If you see suspected copyright violation, contact the copyright holder. They will act on those situations which require action and they will ignore those that do not. Let them decide whether or not to report to Google as part of their effort to end the copyright violation.
