Clean, Professional and very little web site for sale

Hello DP. I am selling one of my favorite web sites www-simsportal-com
The site is about The Sims and i was hoping to build a very large community based on all expansions and titles of those games.
Great Domain, great functionality and a great design for a great price!

Age of site
3 or 4 months. i dont realy remember. The site is out of the Google sandbox for sure.

Traffic:
Not significant. About 20 uniques a day on average. The site is not advertised at the moment and never have been advertised anywhere. The traffic comes from affiliate links.

Revenue:
Not significant. The site made about 3 or 4 dollars through its lifetime (adsense ofcourse)

What's unique:
Domain name actualy ranks #2 on "sims portal" (link) even over the official game's home page. Not a very popular keyword but still.
A Google PR of either 3 or 4 should be recieved pretty soon.
The design is unique for each subdomain (expansion pack)
The news script is cutephp with custom skins for both subdomains
The poll script is "Advanced Poll" and is skinned transparently to work perfect with both designs

How it functions:
The basic PHP knowledge is required to run this web site

Ok. As i said earlier the news script is cutephp, it works like this: You have two categories; business and nightlife. Each index.php file (two subdomains=two files) picks the right category and displays the news from that category. You only have to go to one place to publish your news and then assign it to either business or nightlife category... you can create categories for new games but you will have to create an index.php file your self, as well as the new subdomain for this new game if you wish.

The poll script is at one spot and it updates automaticly on all subdomains of the web site.

The 468x60 ads are different php files for each subdomain. For example if you want to change the 'business' category ad, you will only have to change one file. If you want to change the ad for 'business' and 'nightlife' to be the same, you will have to change both php files.

The affiliates is one php file for each subdomain as well.

The menu is different for each subdomain, and it is one php file as well.

There are two different style sheets (css), one for each subdomain.

And the last but not least, the whole site runs on php $include function, no backend or mysql type of stuff at all.

What's extra:
The extras are two psd files for both designs. All the images, fan site kits and all of that. The site is very well structured and all the files are sorted out, for example the whole left column content is in the folder and its own file, then the ads are in their own folder and a php file as well.... the images are in the right place, the videos are where they are supposed to be.... you get the idea. Its not a messy web site with everything in root folder.

Another extra is that i will send you whatever game guides for all sims games i have, some of them dont work and some of them do. Lots of content which i didnt have time to publish...

Would there be any future problem with sims in the URL? I have read a few posts about sites like myspace concerning this problem.

Sorry. If the domain name has sims in it, and there is a company that is named sims, would I infringe on their name, trademark, etc.

yes, there could be problems. if the site gets big and draws too much attention you would not be able to use the domain for this purpose (from a legal perspective; assuming the company cares).

 

Thats actualy a very good question. What other web sites do is they add the following:
-----------------
"The Sims" and "The Sims 2" are registered trademarks of Electronic Arts Inc.
-----------------
in the footer, and that makes everything smooth

I also have a privacy statement in .txt file that i wrote just for this web site, but didnt have time to publish.

You can not use The Sims or The Sims 2 without authorization from Electronic Arts Inc. This site will be shut down sooner or later.

 

And thats why this is a FAN SITE, and a FAN SITE DOES HAVE AUTHORIZATION to have anyting in the domain name. Now, please, if you are not interested in buying, .... off.
