Is there a way to check and see if a domain name is clean? That it hasn't been linked with any bad (adsense) sites or a bad rep with google? Thanks.

Try the internet archive at http://www.waybackmachine.com/

If it's a recently expired domain, there may be a cached snapshot of the site on one of the major search engines. Also try a link: query of the domain to see if there are any spammy back links.

I did both of those. The link: query brought back nothing but the domain age is from 9/2001....so I would assume something would have linked to it at some point. Thanks.

Maybe you want to check the domain history?

Doesn't Google have a cache of webpages? I think you can access it under Google Sitetools.

Type in [cache:url] to access google's cache of a web page.

Google's cache is very limited though, and will delete a cached page if the domain expires or if a site drops out of the index.

You can't check blacklisted adsense sites
Even if Google ban a site from his adsense program google entries are not affected from this
If you register it and see you have problems write to Google support team and ask them
