Classified Ads to drive traffic?

Discussion in 'General Marketing' started by Howard Lim, Aug 25, 2013.

I was wondering which classified ads do you use to post your programs/softwares/ebooks?

I mean many people say classified ads are a good source of traffic, but i can't seem to find any good one's that are actually useable.

Any suggestions? Your sharing is greatly appreciated. :)

You could use gojara.com. It is a classified ads website where you can post your ads or browse for items you interested in wherever your location is.

The above list is good, they are top classifieds sites, you can use them.

You can get a long list of classifieds sites and post your ads there, try finding in Google with the search "list of top classifieds sites" and you would find many.

Craigslist and OLX are used widely to drive traffic. Meanwhile you can search local directories in your country too..

By creating an ad, adding pictures, making the tile catchy and submitting the ad, You can use automated submission software for submitting ads at once, or hire someone to post several for you. The more ads you submit, the more exposure and traffic you will get in this way. Ads that have been up for more than a few weeks, and re-submit them, to keep ads at the top of listings.

    Hi Howard,
Craigslist can get you a lot of traffic. Although you need to do things differently to the typical marketer.

    Any and all !
See you need to do your research of the audience of the classified ads .
Traffic no matter what it is ! Is only good if its highly targeted ..

People do not seem to realize that web traffic is one of the least effective ways of
creating action in your prospects compared to direct mail.
Direct mail will beet it every time !
But it cost a hell of a lot more too..

I say direct mail because if you are going up the avenue of looking for classifieds that you will
soon find that what you are really looking for is Direct mail...

My experience of building a list with classified ads was that I built a list of freebie hunters. Wasted a month building a list of subscribers that were low quality and only wanted free stuff.

    Stick to craigslist.

    Also, gumtree is good.

There are a million different ones; but go where the traffic is.

If you can master craigslist... You can get a boatload of traffic.

It's a matter of knowing how to post. :)

    My advice?

Write compelling copy, and also use pretty graphics.

(in my experience, people on craigs respond well to pretty graphics).

    Just my $.02
