olx.com adoos.us kijiji.com simran.us Put me out of my misery please. If anyone knows what free classified ads programming script is being utilized here with these 4 websites, my life will be complete. Take a look. They all have major major similarities. Hard to really judge all the features of simran.us compared to the other 3 as it has near no ads posted. More importantly, the first 3 look to me to be the same exact script based on look/features! I've looked at dozens of classfied scripts for sale, just can't find it the one that is used for these sites. The fact that they are all so similar makes me confident that it is available publicly for sale. olx.com and adoos.us are almost identical. Sure, sure. These sites probably have some custom programming... but that doesnt dis-swade me. Another thought. I can't see one of the sites being an original and then the others simply cloning it. kijiji.com is ebay.com and I highly doubt they own olx.com or adoos.us I'm not just looking for any classifieds script or one to clone or custom from scratch when...based on these 3/4 sites....I'd think it could be purchased. Anyone know which srctipt it is and how you know that?
When I want to identify what script a site is using I look through the code for an unusual/unique style or function name - then I Google it in the hope of finding somebody who's made a forum post about a problem they're having with the script or css I looked at olx.com, found "search_data_values", Googled it, and ended up here: http://www.geodesicsolutions.com/classifiedssoftware/classifieds_ads_software_enterprise.htm It may or may not be the same software, but if you do what I did to all the sites, I bet you'll find it. Hope it helps Welcome to DP btw
Rep added Kerosene! Yeah, you may have nailed it. I am not a programmer, so a bit challenging trying to understand/implement discovering unique code in a site's source and sicking the search engines on it. As you have rightfully suggested. At any rate, I've looked at alot of the sites that Geod. script buyers have created...and yes there seems to be alot of consistency between them. On their site, they did not of course showcase any of the websites i referenced. Not surprising. I hope this will also become a valuable post to others in the future. I am now seeing more and more folks asking programmers to clone olx etc. One, they dont want to pay the $700 I'm sure, and 2. like me they probably could not ascertain exactly who is selling this script. Each of these noted sites have modified the template and "flipped the script" enough to throw rookies off like myself. Again, I think Kerosene's post may prove to be valuable as I think he found the correct script. If you have anything further to underscrore the programming similarities between the 3 websites, I will be listening. THANKS! Rep given.
