It shouldn't matter because 95% of the users out there are using shared IP's, but I do wonder myself if there is a penalty, even if a slight one by Google and the like.

How large is your blog network and are you trying to link all of the sites together?

I am not really trying to link the sites together no. I want to sell more blog posts. I get lots of orders but some say no coz they are on the same ips. I just dont know what to tell them. Some of my blogs are pr6s so its important to do this right as long as i can make the money back.

Yes, to increase the attractiveness of your blog network to advertisers and to boost the link power of them advertising on every blog, you should have them on different c classes.

You can put them all on cheaper, separate hosting plans to accomplish this, or if you have a dedicated server you can lease different c-classes.

I personally use a dedicated server which came with 5 ips (same c-class). Then I leased a second c-class block for $2/ip/month. They come in blocks of 8 (at least through my host), so it costs me an extra $16/month per c-class.

$2 per ip per month is so overpriced. I know a host that does a block of 48 ip's for $50 a month.

    Col :)

But the point is that I don't need a block of 48! I would rather have smaller blocks so that I can buy MORE c-classes!

I know a host that also sells 255 IPs for $100. Does it matter? No... as Josh_Coffman said, you need different C blocks !

Different IP Class would be great. I suggest myself using Host with different places to make my link building.

I know hosts who provide /26 blocks (64 IPs) for $10/month and some even lesser, sharktech being 1 of them. But getting IPs on different class C's isn't that easy...

I have a special offer going here for anyone interested in getting hosting with IPs on different class Cs :)

I too am interested in the original question of the post, but the answers seem to be getting a little side-tracked.

What are the benefits of having a networks of sites on different class C IPS?

Well my current host can offer my additional ips for like 2.00 a month, and I can pay for them if its really truly worth it. So far I dont have any solid proof though...

All the proof you need is in the google patent. I linked to it in another thread earlier. If you are planning on interlinking sites, why not be on the safer side & host each of them on IPs on different class C ips.

you should be extremely smart by interlinking.
Try some hosting and distribute your class b ip.

I don't think it matters, unless perhaps you're hosting 2 sites on a single IP, and one of them might attract penalties from google.
