Clarification: Sandbox for newly transferred domains too?

    Does the sandbox affect newly transferred but established domains or only newly registered domains that have no prior registration?

    Reason I ask is I am currently purchasing low $xx sites with it in mind that because they already exist that they can escape the sandbox assuming they have been registered for some time already.

    Does the clock start for the sandbox only on the initial registration or does domain onwership transfer start it all over again?
