You know how you go to the google homepage and you type in your search words? And then a list of suggested phrases comes up?

    My question-

Is that list of items a list of things that lots of people have been searching for...

    OR

...a list of phrases that are used frequently in indexed websites?

In other words: When I create new pages for my site, should I be targeting the words in the google suggested search box...or should I avoid those terms because there is too much competition?

Thanks for any and all replies.

its all the search terms that we search in google, and we MUST consider these search terms for our new pages for some good traffic, if we meet the criteria of being in top 10 results.

If you feel you can't compete with them on those terms, then look for those longer terms/variations people are typing, they might be looking for something more specific. Target them (some call this long-tail keywords).
