My forum based website was going to have a forum to itself dedicated to racing and football tips, however, having looked closely at the T&C associated with google adsense it suggests its against their rules. Am I correct in assuming, although a forum is not in its self a direct link to say a bookmaker, casino etc, the fact that it might be interpreted as "encouraging" someone to gamble, goes against the rules and I am correct in not having it on my forums. Thanks
It's kind of fuzzy and hard to tell without the website URL What you should do is send google and email and provide them with your website url, they can review it and let you know exactly.
I think that in the forum if there is one page about bookmarker and casino, there is no problems. It is important that you don't write articles about bookmarker and casino.............. and after the bookmarker are legal in some country......[ I think that your problem is the spam that very people write the url with their account to bookmarkes right ? ] __________________ Casino Games Online Casinos casino dictionary directory for online casinos
I did contact Google about my casino articles related website, and got a straight response from them that I should not use it to place AdSense on. That being said, asking others here on DP might not save you from being banned if Google has a different opinion about you using your forum for AdSense.
Ask them. They responded in < 48 hours. I have a blog about poker strategies, news, etc. and wanted adsense. I do not (or didn't at the time ) have any banners up. After email I was told they would not recommend adsense because I linked to sites that promoted gambling. Since links are a source of income for the blog I decided to use something other than adsense.
Thanks for all your replies. My thinking is, that if I have a dedicated forum section dedicated to racing and football tips or any other sport for that matter, it goes against google adsense TOS. However, if someone on the forum just happens to discuss it sometimes in a forum dedicated to any other things not discussed in the main forums, then it would be ok, freedom of speech and all that. It would seem a bit harsh for me to ban a user on my site for discussing the merits of backing Liverpool to win at evens at the weekend. As long as my site did not appear to be encouraging people to gamble, perhaps it might be worthwhile me adding a disclaimer that someones views on betting, are not the websites expressed views etc or do you think that would be too fussy/unecessary? It seems gambling along with smoking is becoming a major taboo in countries around the world. Its as if anyone over 18 has no self control (in the goverments eyes). By removing the dedicated forum its removes any chance of adsnse being banned from the site. Just out of interest, has anyone had experience of google banning your websites if you have more than one website on the same account eg you have 10 websites all with adsense, one of your ten sites gets banned for whatever reason, would google adsense then ban all your other nine websites?
