Here is a quote from the BST rules:

You may not ASK for people to bump your thread by telling them to post things like, "I'm interested," "PM me the details," "Sold," "Give me the money," or other similar terms. (This includes things like asking "Who's interested?" knowing you'll get a bunch of bump posts, unless you specifically give instructions to PM you directly instead of posting in the thread.)

    ...

In addition, when responding to someone's thread, you may not post in the thread to "send more information," "PM me the details," or anything similar. If you are interested and don't have a valid question that applies to everyone else then you must PM the OP.

I understand why there is a rule to prevent people from asking others to bump their thread. My question is about the "SOLD" part of it. Is it indeed against the rules to ask someone to post "SOLD" when they do a buy it now on a website? Is it also against the rules to post "SOLD AT BIN" if you want to buy a website? I just want to make sure I don't get banned for posting that I bought a website in a thread.

    Thanks in advance

Actually that's a good point, I wouldn't mind knowing for sure myself a slightly grey area... unless it means your not allowed saying post sold to buy or something like that in your sales thread.

Also, I want to make sure if it's ok to bump a thread I started yesterday and now want to change the price.

    Thanks.

    1. No, you may not bump your thread to change a price. You need to include the price in an off-site image file if you may want to change it. Other than that, tough cookies. Posting to lower the BIN or something will get you an infraction.

    2. You may post in an auction thread that you're "bidding" the BIN price. It's just another bid. You may NOT post "sold" in any other type of sales thread (such as someone selling multiple copies of an e-book), and you may not ask people to do so.
