There is a new act just introduced to the U.S. House of Representatives called "The Happy Act" H.R. 3501. It would allow pet owners to claim up to a $3500 tax deduction for pet care expenses. It was initiated by a Republican Representative Thaddeus McCotter, to help pet owners that are struggling.

    What do you think?

There's a support petition as well, it is going on at ThePetitionSite.

I like this law, but I wish they had years ago when I had my poodle. Dogs are my favorite animals but I hate the fact that they dont live so long:(

I was under the impression that this was first introduced two years ago, and never passed.
