Hi all, Anyone who has been wondering about CJ advertisers becoming inactive and closing business on CJ, here is what I believe: CJ Advertisers are closing their business with CJ and moving over to ConnectCommerce (Google Affiliate Network). Last month Abt.com packed up from CJ and moved over to Google Affiliate Network and so did a couple of other advertisers. Although, ConnectCommerce is not as good as CJ 'yet'. But this is the what I believe, CJ is losing advertisers. Anyone else felt that? Regards, Andy. P.S. I believe, we should have a sub-forum for Google Affiliate Network besides CJ, Chitika and others.
Not sure this is really accurate - I've seen more advertisers moving from LinkShare to CJ than I have seen moving from CJ to Performics/Google Affiliate Network. LinkShare has an exclusivity clause, so advertisers may only run a program in LinkShare - however, CJ has no such clause, and I don't believe Google Affiliate Network does either, so a program could be run through both CJ & Google Affiliate Network at the same time. Performics has been around for a while & has some large name advertisers, but their advertiser list (and interface) is not nearly as good as CJ yet. It'll be interesting to see what Google does with their acquisition of Performics/DoubleClick - hopefully it'll improve significantly.
I've used LinkShare but not CJ. Any feedback on this? Is CJ better,worse,same...I haven't really investigated options fully. Just curious about your take on this.
So true, Google Affiliate Network has a VERY poor interface. AND the worse is, if you run more than 1 website, you have to open multiple accounts. I wrote an email to Google asking what should I do in case I have more than 1 website. They confirmed, for every new website, a publisher needs to sign up for a new account. What a nonsense. Apart from that, when I use their interface through Firefox, it freezes firefox completely while navigating from one page to the other. CJ vs Linkshare, I believe, overall CJ is better. But I like Linkshare's navigation when you have many sites. It clearly shows which website has affiliation with which advertiser. Andy.
