    Hi,
most vendors of CJ do mention that they prohibit the use of their brand in URLs, ad title, ... of ppc search campaign, what if am using SEOed pages with their brand names on? is that allowed? the terms are ambiguous to organic traffic affiliates

Lol how do they expect us to promote their brands if we're not allowed to use their brands? The whole point of affiliate marketing is that we use their brand and promote their brand, products and services so unless they want ZERO people promotting them they do things the affiliates way after all their nothing without us.

exactly however the affiliate can still rank on their brands and send the traffic to their competitors, if they take that in consideration they will not prohibit ranking on their brands

I know it's not quite the same thing, but we have a problem with publishers using our name as a keyword for paid SEM. What one (or more) of them did was to create a google ad that had our name, add a trademark symbol and claim it's the official site and put it right above our actual site return on a search for our name. We started hemorrhaging sales from our organic return and started paying a fortune to one publisher for traffic of people who already knew who we were and what our name is. (needless to say, we've replaced our program and disallowed that). What a rip-off!
