Hello... I am using CJ text links to implement into my content site, and I had 3 questions 1) Is it bad for SEO to link to an advertiser via CJ, as opposed to linking to that advertiser directly without CJ or another affiliate link? 2) When I get the code for the CJ link, they also give me a 1 by 1 pixel. Do I really have to use that 1 by 1 pixel next to the text link? Would I still get paid for leads and sales that come through if there is no 1 by 1 pixle 3) WHen I get HTML, the text links sometimes have text I don't want. Like, it may say click here for great deals. What if I change the link to just say click here. Again, I'd be sending the user to the same destination URL, just I'd be changing the text associated with the link. Can this affect me getting paid? thanks for your help
Ya.. all above mentioned methods are allowed.. its just dat dose anchor texts are more catchy. so ur asked to do dat..
I've never used that pixel and always get paid. The only problem is that if you remove those pixels they cant give you the statistics for the link.
1) Use nofollow on all your links. 2) just copy the html <a href="link"></a> and not the image. 3) You can change the text to anything.
so if the pixel is for tracking... and we delete the pixel how does this link and/or sale get tracked?
I use CJ links and have never used images. I don't have any problems. An image can't track a sale. All it can do is show impressions. The image will be on the CJ system and they can count how many times it was shown on your site. I'm sure the link can work in the same way without it.
Yes, the pixel is just to track your impressions, it is not required, I sometimes use it, sometimes not and always get paid. Changing the link text doesnt matter either, it's all about the encoded URL.
