Hi all i would like to share this test/project I started with you. (Any feedback will be really appreciated) :) I have been reading a lot about publishers that work with cj, promote products with ppc and they make money. So i am here to test this and see if it really works.

I am testing a cj advertiser so I created a website (Cost for the domain $8) with the appropriate landing page for the product. No links apart from the one to the advertiser. (No adsense etc)

On my first day I earned £12 with 18 clicks and 3 sales. The problem is that I spend £10 on adwords. Which gives me a profit of £2. (if i continue like this 2x365=£730 per year) :(

Not bad but I need to work on this a bit more the next few days and raise this.

The good news is that in 18 clicks 3 sales which is not bad

So my next step is to lower the cpc. The problem is that I cant see which keywords bring the conversions. :(

So for tomorrow i will try and lower the cpc. Any ideas? I will try and update this post with more news from my project.

fair enough. Could you PM the site to me, Id just like to see how you do it.

How about spend 100pounds a day on advertising and make 120 in sales, therefore 20 profit a day. If only it were taht simple, but who knows maybe it is?

Why to you thing that you've profited as the advertiser has not locked the transaction yet.

You need to wait it to be locked to say you profit - If he reverse the value your ear will be: -£10 (negative)

To decrease CPC you either have to increase quality score or have an amazing CTR.

The quality score is "great" on majority of kws (80%) and "ok" in the remaining. I dont have any kws with "poor". ;)

The CTR for the first day was 1.60%. Something that I am hoping will get better with time ansd some new adcopy.

Im doing this too with trade doubler and started first with €5 a day making 1.75 back in sales..

Now spending 1.50 a day ( Adwords Keyphrase costing me 0.09 avg ) and making over 3 sales per day making €5,25 ..

I will start again now increasing to €5 and see what results I get whilst still making a profit..
    So not bad!

    Best of luck!

(sorry didnt know this was a cj forum.. but anyway.. :)

Thanks sparksflying, its an interesting project. I read so many people saying that they made $$$ with cj so lets try it! The good thing with tradedoubler is that stats are much better and more efficient!

    Good luck to you too!

Thanks ProfitableSynegies I will keep you guys updated.

    cheers

Ok the update for yesterday is that it wasn’t a very good day. I think the reason for this is because the product is doing better Thursday - Sunday. So the stats for yesterday is £10 spend on AdWords with a CTR of 2.5% but only one conversation £4 :( . Not a very good day I still have faith though.

I am hoping that the account will get build some history and with a good CTR things will improve. (For the sake of this test I started a new AdWords account)

I think in this case I might need to adjust the landing page a bit and make it a bit more appealing to the users.

Congratulations on creating a profitable CJ Advertiser/PPC campaign. It really is Not an easy task.

If you wish to track your CJ keywords you can add SID to your URL:

    http://www.jdoqocy.com/click-YOURCJPID-AID?sid=keyword

And, set up different landing pages for keyword /keyword groups, etc.

When a sale comes through, the SID should show up in your CJ reports under Transactions Details / Commission Detail.

    :)
