CJ sign-up and password emails never arrive

    Hi everyone,

I signed up with CJ as a publisher last week and never received the usual "welcome"/confirmation email. I made sure it wasn't going into spam/junkmail and the email address is definitely correct.

I also tried the "forgot password" link on the site. It said I'd been emailed the details but again, nothing came through.

Does anyone know the support email for CJ? I tried but it bounced. Ended up leaving a message via the online form but the form says it's for "press enquiries"... so who knows if that will get through.

Any advice would be most appreciated :)

    Thanks!
    Scott

To quote from my original post: I made sure it wasn't going into spam/junkmail and the email address is definitely correct.

Surely CJ has a support email address?

    No problem :)

But you have to wonder how those people who don't even think to check their junk mail in such circumstances are going to succeed at internet marketing ;)

This happens quite a bit. You need to call CJ at their contact number. The reps will give you a password over the phone (which you can change later).

Thanks DealWorx. Calling was a last resort.. just looked at the time difference and apparently it's around 2am where they are located now, so I guess I'll just wait until morning to call :)

It's a bit of a worry that their basic sign-up/account functions don't seem to work.. but at least they've got a great rep in terms of affiliate networks :)

got an answer for you on this one. Is your mail server running Exim or Spam Assassin? If this is Yes, then that is your problem. I have had to resort to using a hotmail address for my CJ account (even though I have one on my primary POP which I have no clue to the password of)

    THANK YOU thenetninja!!!! :)

Finally someone has a meaningful answer! :)

I'm dumbfounded that CJ can't email servers running Exim (you were right about that and Spam Assassin). I even turned off Spam Assassin and had no luck still.

I went to call CJ today but I'm all out of luck when it comes to them - they're on holiday today! :)

    Thanks again :)

I still have this problem as well ... I had signed up with cafepress affiliates and since they started using cj.com I have never been able to login to my cj.com account ...

I have the spider that checks for quality almost every day - but the links for cafepress do not forward to cj.com as I was never able to login to cj.com to be able to make the adjustments ... so basically any sales generated on my site have not passed any commission my way.

The only reason why I keep the banners is they still redirect to the shop (it is run by an online friend so i don't mind him making money, as he is a cafepress shop owner - though would have been great to get it sorted as last november/december was basically when I made all the commission - had only put it on late sept last year, plus it is ranked well for *keyword* merchandise (regularly fluctates from 1-3 position rank so does get some traffic who are actively looking to buy stuff) - though not a very competitive term as daily traffic would never be over 100 daily for that term, even at the busiest time.

ontheweb, no prob... I had to deactivate exim to get mine through again. However it opens the gates to spammers.
Ganceann, get your host to look into if they are using Exim (at all). If so this is where your issue is occuring. The latest cpanel11 by default loads exim (but this could differ depending on the preference of your webhost)

If you use a free webmail like Yahoo, Gmail or HOtmail then check your SPAM folder... and if you use ur own domain name then contact ur hosting support and tell them to unblock mails from cj.com and custhelp.com this will help you.......

most times this block will occur if your host is using the MBL from SpamHaus or other lists, so contacting your host 'may' not result in a fix (especially if they have the interests of their other clients at heart).

Personally, my own VPS (which only hosts my sites) have between 7000 and 15000 spam email rejected daily based on the SpamHaus MBL alone.

No actually it happened to me... My web host was blocking mails from custhelp.com (which is cj's email support domain address) then I contacted the host and asked them to mark the domain custhelp.com as safe. Then I began to receive mails from that domain.
