Keep in mind that CJ is now a proven liar and deceptor but its all to their advantage in other ways. If you do not make any money in 6 months with CJ then they will charge you $10 just because your account exists. People are foolish to tolerate this sort of fine print deception. It does not cost anything to have a name in their database. They have no interest in your success....only their own. There is no business relationship between them and the affiliates. And if you ask them about the $10 charge they suspend your account. Kudos to anyone that has had success with CJ.
What do you mean, they are a proven liar and deceptor? Becase they settled a class-action lawsuit out of court that had nothing to do with CJ lying or deceiving? It's not hidden or in fine print - it is very clear in the TOS that you accept. If you don't read the TOS before joining an affiliate network, that's a horrible business practice. Charging dormant accounts that haven't hit payout - after 6 MONTHS - allows them to clear their books so they don't have outstanding liabilities. After you run out of money, they close your account. This is done to keep the system cleaner... to contrast this point, Linkshare never deletes account. This makes it a pain in the ass for advertisers, as they end up paying to try to recruit dormant accounts from 2001 with no indication that the accounts have been long dead.
