CJ PID & Ebay

    Hi

I have been an affiliate of CJ for the past year. Have used my PID for direct linking with PPC. I have different websites now and am promoting ebay Editor Kit with PPC. MY US campaign is fine & converts well. My UK campaign gets good CTR with no regisrations or bids for the past 9 days. I have lost quite a bit of money in this campaign. Ebay does not reply to any of my postings or emails.

My question do I need differnt PIDs for different websites? This post in UK ebay forum is confusing.

"nope you only need to register once and within the "accounts" tab of the CJ interface you need to set up two different websites for your account. These will each be given a seperate PID which you can see in the accounts tab and means you can track the websites seperately."
    (this from someone in ebay)

I have the same PID for AU ebay and the bid commissions are coming in.

Can some one please explain this to me?

    Thanks in advance.

No. You only need one PID.
Just make sure your AID is the correct AID for UK Ebay.
    AID are different in countries.

Your PID changes per website. That is if you request a new one for every site you use. Most people use a single PID across multiple sites. I've never heard of a problem with this.

    The AID changes per link.

I'm not familiar with the Editor Kit, but don't you have to get the code from the affiliate page on the each country's eBay site?

    Good luck,
    Ty

You will want to use a different PID for each website so that you can get stats - clicks / registrations / sales - for each independent website.

    What is aid ?

The editor kit userguide only talks about the "ai" which is the encoded ebay user id...

Sorry if this was confusing. AID doesn't come into play for the Editor Kit. It is handled internally.

Just create your editor kits on the eBay.xx site you want to promote.

    Good luck,
    Ty

Good question. AID is ad ID. Every offer link in CJ has a unique AID. Best to take a look at CJU for full details.
