I have tried to contact CJ support about my newbie questions. After 5 days there are still no answer, so apparently they are partying instead of answering questions. Maybe somebody here can answer me?

    Question 1:
Am I allowed to change the text in the text links? How do I make my own texts if I aren't allowed to change the text of the existing text links?

    Question 2:
How do I create a link to a specific page on e.g. buy.com:
    http://www.buy.com/retail/searchresults.asp?querytype=home&qu=hellboy&qxt=home&dclksa=1&display=col
I can't find any options for creating custom links.

    Thank you, Mads

Yes, you can change the text. Just edit the HTML code yourself to say what you want. I get better CTR when I customize the text.

Q2: If you look in the advertiser's text links, most of them have a 'custom link', or 'generic link' or something along those lines - these links usually let you set a destination page.

I've a dumb question, pls bear with this one.
Are we allowed to use the links direct? eg: advertise on AdWords, to friends, etc.
    meaning without using a website...

For AdWords etc I think it depends on the individual advertisers. I know some of them have severe restrictions on what keywords you can use.

I don't know of any problems with asking friends to use your affiliate links, but it's probably worth scanning the advertisers terms before you do it.
