How does CJ handles geo-ip redirects? For example other CPA networks like Azoogle will redirect the user to a generic "webfettie" offer if the offer is not available to the user in their area. I get a lot of organic traffic to my pages from outside US. Those users are redirected to webfettie offer for azoogle offers I'm running on my pages. That's reflects bad on me. I want people to land on the actual offer or offer from their area/country even if the actual offer is not available to them. How does CJ handle this? Is there otehrs ways of getting around this problem? I love to hear your solution.
CJ doesn't do Geo-IP redirects - all links, regardless of geo-location, will end up on the advertiser's landing page for that URL.
well i think that redirect is actually very good for your own traffic, what good will bring an Italian user for a usa only website where he can't sign up? We are developing the advertising solution Ads Element and we came to know this problem you are referring and what we decided to do is to develop a feature where a publisher can set all his links based on the advertisers they are approved with, they can specify a targeted ad for specific countries (or they can allow all countries to view the same ad but only sign ups from specific country will be recorded), this will boost your sales, we build a Geo IP - Targeted ads integrated into our Ad Network software with a full control on the ads that will be displayed.
Wounded, I read another post about your new network on another thread. It sounds rather amazing and your geo-ip redirect definitely captures a niche that's needed and untapped in terms of market potential and obviously, as affiliates cash in on the increased commissions your network will also prosper in turn. I can't wait to learn more and you'll have to keep us updated on all of the new developements. Take care.
