CJ/eBay Overruled Transactions

Knowing how slow CJ's support is and being eager to know why...

For what reason does CJ/eBay overrule/correct a transaction (talking eBay registration in particular)?

In my reports I have several active registrations. So they have bid after signing up within 30 days. One of these showed up on the main page's account balance. But after a few days this disappeared.

Looking at the reports I see some confusing and ill-explained terminology, used inconsistently.

    For instance:
Type Status Corrected Amount Commission Action Name (my comment)
Lead New No £0.00 £0.00 Registration (correct, no bid yet I guess)
Lead Locked Yes £0.00 £0.00 Registration (what does locked mean? why corrected?)
Lead Locked Yes £0.00 £6.00 Active Registration (doesn't show, why locked? why corrected?)
Lead Locked 282418xxx £0.00 £0.00 Registration (again... Locked?! what's the number?)
Lead Locked 282752xxx £0.00 (£6.00) Active Registration (Locked? Number? Why red and in brackets?)

Apart from the first one which I included for illustration purposes, none of these make much sense to me. What does locked mean? Can't become active? Why not? Duplicate sign-up/registration perhaps?

What does red and in brackets mean? "Review 0 click(s) from invalid links. " would not suggest any issues. i have no e-mails received either.

Locked can't be indicating the 30 days registration 'activation' period is over because these links aren't even live for 30 days yet.

In general: How often do they decide to just not honour any leads/sales for unexplained reasons?

Many questions, I know, I hope someone has some answers for me. Thanks!

Red brackets mean a negative amount (you are getting "charged back"). eBay uses multiple affiliate networks, so what happens is more than one person can get credited for the transaction. Within 72 hours of a transaction, it can be reversed so only one affiliate gets credit for it.

It's really annoying, but you learn to live with it. I had 150+ active registrations ($13 each) reversed last month alone. :)

Right. So if the visitor clicked through my site's registration link but didn't finish the reg (cookie was set), then goes via someone else's affiliate link (CJ or something else) and completes it (another cookie set) they obviously only credit once.

Hadn't thought about that possibility. 150 x 13 = quite a bitch to see disappearing.

Any ideas what the other locked and corrected ones mean? Perhaps in the process of being reversed or re-approved?

Their glossary is pretty shite I have to say.

I got so excited with 3 registrations...

Joseph: Instead of just saying you don't understand; it would be a lot more useful to be a bit more specific so i can try and elaborate.

I believe once a transaction is locked, it no longer can be reversed. Basically a set confirmation that the transaction is yours.

I hate the red. I thought that in some instances it looks like the same transaction is listed in black more than once and the red is a credit to balance things out.
