Until 2 hours ago i hd $404 in comission, from 4 web hosting sales and 2 ringtones one at ixwebhosting, 2 at anhost, one at hostgator [ i think ] and 2 ringtones at thumbplay until today i had $404 and now i see only $204, $200 had dissapeared. what's the matter ? Is cj doing this often ?
This happens to me right around this time each month as CJ moves things around within "pending commissions" (new, extended, locked) and over to "current balance" The numbers look weird for a little bit, and then they return to where they should be after all the moving stops. At least is does in my case. It is also possible that some sales were backed-out. This sometimes happens to me with mortgage leads ... the applicant turns out to be a liar or something.
If the money was in your account, then you at least initially got credit for a sale/lead. When my numbers were changing, they almost always returned with an hour. In the cases where I was suddenly showing less commissions... and they never returned... I was able to trace the change to a sale/lead was reversed. By looking at the detail reports you should be able to see if anything was reversed.
i looked at the comission detail and it seems that 2 anhost were bought with invalid credit card. i think this means i won't see the money back
That's too bad. As topaffiliateprogram alluded to in an earlier post, sometimes they can be chargebacks for whatever reason too ... the merchant does not always tell you the reason why. I've had the misfortune of having 2 satellite tv commissions reversed weeks after getting the credit, but just before getting the actual CJ payment. Each of those were $110. What was puzzling about those were that I didn't think I was supposed to receive credit for the sales until after the systems were actually installed. So I don't know why they were later reversed ... the customers had the contractors come back out afterwards and take out the system? Anyway the Satellite TV company, nor CJ would tell me exactly what happened. The detail line items just showed a reversal. You can't always tell why you've lost commission.
