Over the past few months I've decided to take a break from affiliate marketing (still earning from prior campaigns, not making new ones) and go with web design and business promotion. So far, I've signed businesses with their own domain (making a new godaddy account) and then selling them hosting on with either hostgator, host-ed or my own reseller account depending on what promotional offers they choose. Anyways, I have not received a single cent from GoDaddy for over $300 worth of domains. I know the cookies track because the client and I are in the same room while I guide him/her. Question 1: How much does GoDaddy.com pay for just .com domain sign ups? Question 2: Does GoDaddy give commissions if you sign up yourself. Question 3: Is commissions for new accounts/customers only? Thanks.
Ok see here is how it gets tricky with hosting sites..... mainly you get paid only when customers buy 1 year hosting or more upfront. Does anyone here really think a company is going to pay you $100 for a domain that is 9.00 and is hosted else where. And lots of hosting/domain companies don't like you to buy off ur own link you need to establish a relationship with the am..... the tricky part is they don't tell you that. You have learn by doing and screwing up.
Also godaddy does not pay any commission on domain name sales. read the tos on CJ its only for other services.
I would recommend signing yourself up, it normally pisses the merchant off and makes yourself an easy target to not get paid in the future
Hey everyone, Does anyone get paid from Godaddy? Typically, when will you see the commissions pop up? Yesterday, I made my first Godaddy sale from a client of mine. I spent the night setting everything everything up and I checked out a 1 year hosting plan on the deluxe package through my affiliate link. Browser had cookies enabled, no third party software blocking cookies. I set it up 12 hours ago and no sales are showing in my panel. Are these guys scammers? Also, I used a coupon for 20% off...these guys should still be offering the commissions if a coupon is used, correct? I know Hostgator pays, even when coupons are used. Thanks!
