CJ: Chaging password and other basic things?

    Hi all!

I just signed-up for a CJ account and they assigned me random password. I'm looking for ways to change that to something I can remember and either I'm doing something wrong or their site is hosed-up.

I'm guessing that after logging-in, I should click Account and then at the bottom, click edit on the (only) account name. That ANNOYING "reauthenticate" page is next. Enter all of the stuff then OK. Reauthenticate comes-up again. Re-enter all of the stuff and I get a "Reauthenitcate superuser password" page. Paste the password YET AGAIN, and I get:
    ---------------
There was an error processing your request.

The incident has been logged and we are working to correct the problem. We apologize for any inconvenience.
    ---------------

I've been trying for a couple days, and I'm assuming that they'd not let something sit broken like this for that long. Maybe that assumption is wrong?

I tried in FF and IE, both with the same results. The IE is plain-jane - not even with a Google toolbar or anything installed.

Pressing the "Help" in the upper right changes the URL but doesn't actually do anything. Right clicking and "open in new window" on the Help just opens that same URL in a blank window.

Whew... so, am I doing something wrong or is CJ broken (and is this a sign of what it's like to work with CJ?) So many people use it, I have to assume it's just something wrong, but who knows...

    Thanks,
    Mike

When you enter and click on account go to the bottom of the page and edit the super user details, it will ask for the random pass again, then you will be able to change in there..

    Hope that help.

Thanks - that's what I've been trying to do, and I get the "reauthenticate" screen (with CJ Account Manager, BFAST, and BFAST Advertiser input boxes). After two tries at that, I get a page which asks me again for the superuser password, and then the error quoted above.

Are you using the CJ account manager control panel, then account, Do not use the BFAST buttons at all, only after you adjusted the password in the CJ Account managers section, the Accounts, scroll to bottom, super user.

I hope that helps a little,

    Hi Pit,

Yep, I'm using the CJ Account manager. I keep going through it, but just cannot get it to work. The fact that the "reauthenticate" takes TWO times makes me wonder. I will clear my cache and see if that helps.

What you need to do is:

    -Go to CJ.com
    -Cick on "Forgot Your Password?"
-Get your new password(your superuser password will also be the same)
-Then log on with the new password.
-Go back to where you have to enter the superuser password and enter your new password there.

Let me know if that helps. It worked for me
